Photo Shootout 2020

On October 10th and 11th we ran the first social photo competition, divided into two categories: Critter Count and Portfolio.

Critter count had a list of target species and associated points, participants were to shoot one picture of as many species as possible during that weekend.

Portfolio was about the best pictures as judged by Ken Thongpila, an acclaimed photographer and judge. Ken is also the owner of Macromode, a company based in Sydney specialised in underwater photography, which allowed us to award prizes to the winners (we did not request any entry fee because we wanted the competition to be free and social).

Thanks to Ken, plus to Adam Were & Steve Coutts from the VIZ Group for the flawless organisation.
